Our natural bags are made of vegetable-tanned leather, an ancient method that uses oak, bark, and leaves instead of synthetic materials. Fun fact: Less than 10% of the world’s leather is tanned this way today. It’s a more time-consuming and costly process, but the outcome is so worth it. The leather starts as a champagne pink color and a little shiny. As it sees the sun, salt, and everyday adventures, it darkens and softens into a beautiful honey color. Plus, there are tan lines! It's magical to see it all happen.
